The Association's purpose is to provide health coverage to citizens of Mississippi that desire to purchase such coverage but who cannot obtain it because of health conditions.  The Association also serves Mississippi residents that are eligible under the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA). 

Effective January 1, 2010, the Association’s Administering Insurer will be CoreSource, Inc. The Association’s pharmacy network will be the Caremark National Network.
